Dates: 2001 (Copyright), 28 September 2001 (Release)

Countries: Netherlands, USA, United Kingdom, Germany

Director: Michael Apted

Synopsis: Thriller: brilliant mathematician Tom Jericho works at code-breaking centre Bletchley Park on the enigma code used by the Germany navy. After a breakdown - caused at least in part by his rejection by co-worker Claire Romilly - Jericho is forced to go on a leave of absence. Some time later the Germans change their code and Jericho is called back to Bletchley. The situation is critical because three convoys have left New York and are under threat from U-boats. Claire mysteriously vanishes and Jericho finds a series of untranslated transcripts at her home. To make matters worse, there are rumours of a spy at Bletchley Park.Synopsis: Based on the novel by Robert Harris. A World War II thriller set amongst the intelligence workers at the top secret code-breaking centre at Bletchley Park. The main protagonist is a brilliant mathematician called back to the centre after an enforced leave of absence, when the Germany navy changes the Enigma code they use to communicate with their high command. Amid rumours of a spy at Bletchley Park, the woman he loves disappears, and he enlists the help of her best friend, a woman co-worker to investigate.
